On 19-20 October 2017 the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union is hosting an interactive conference ’Futur-e-Justice’ at the Tallinn Creative Hub (Kultuurikatel).
As the end of the current e-Justice Action Plan draws near, it is time to reflect on what we have achieved thus far and to look ahead at the challenges involved in further developing the European justice sector as we start to prepare for the 2019-2023 strategy and action plan. Ensuring the sustainability and interoperability of justice sector IT-systems is one of our top priorities in the area of justice being discussed at a high level during the event.
The conference brings together experts from all over Europe to discuss the challenges that we face today, and to reflect on the possibilities that lie in further employing the principles guiding the digital single market and the tools that the eIDAS regulation has to offer the area of e-justice. The conference also features an interactive e-justice idea hackathon where e-justice and IT experts explore innovative digital solutions in the area of e-justice, together.
About 200 participants from the national authorities of member states, EU institutions and justice sector practitioners are expected to attend the conference.
