Estonian holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first time in the second half of 2017 and is eager to contribute to the development of the EU through different conferences and meetings.
The Estonian Ministry of Justice is organising an international high-level Data Protection conference in Tartu, 6-8 September 2017, in close cooperation with the faculty of law of the University of Tartu. The conference brings together an international community of data protection and privacy experts. For a successful implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), all relevant topics will be covered.
This conference is a great opportunity to help the private and public sectors to obtain practical value out of different discussions, with practical activities being conducted through workshops and panels. During the conference, member states have a great opportunity to share their ideas and thoughts about implementation of GDPR and also have a chance to be part of beneficial discussions with experts in the field.
The conference is meant for specialists whose daily lives revolve around dealing with data protection issues on different levels, such as policy makers, experts, specialists of member states and EU institutions, entrepreneurs, and legal advisers.
