The Estonian Public Relations Association has awarded the communications team of the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU with the 2017 'Public Relations Manager of the Year' title.
The Head of Communications of the Estonian Presidency team, Livia Vosman, pointed out that the biggest challenge for the communication side of the Presidency was the exceptional information load as well as its complexity.
"In the organisation of the communication, we basically used of all the means available today, starting from an attractive and logical website in four languages, where all Presidency-related news, as well as the events calendar, agendas and background materials in the form of text, pictures, infographics and videos were published," commented Vosman.
Social media channels were additionally used, which were filled with information both from Tallinn and Brussels, and for all larger meetings and conclusions, infographics were produced. The live broadcasts by Estonian Public Broadcasting (ERR) from the meetings and conferences at the Tallinn Creative Hub (Kultuurikatel) also played an important role. All of which was supported by a coherent Presidency visual identity.
The communications team of the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU consisted of 28 people.
