Today, the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union will open the 'Unity' video projection dome in the atrium of the Justus Lipsius building of the Council of the EU in Brussels.

The 360-degree virtual-video projection dome will stand in the atrium of the Justus Lipsius building for the duration of the Estonian Presidency. One of the leitmotifs of the priorities of the Estonian  Presidency is to use technological progress and digital tools to improve the lives of everyday Europeans. The idea of the video dome is to show how technology can connect people and nations. Viewers will be able to enjoy cinematic experiences from all over Europe.

Opening remarks will be given by Clyde Kull, Deputy Permanent Representative of Estonia to the EU; Taavet Hinrikus, member of the European Innovation Council and co-founder and CEO of TransferWise; and Jeppe Tranholm-Mikkelsen, Secretary-General of the Council.
