Journalists wishing to cover events related to the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union must be registered and accredited for each event separately.
We recommend registering for accreditation no later than two weeks before the meeting. The number of last-minute accreditations is limited.
Journalists must register and select the meeting they wish to cover in order to obtain accreditation. Accreditation does not guarantee access to all events open to the press. You must register separately for each event.
Collecting accreditation badges for the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU:
- informal and high-level meetings at the Tallinn Creative Hub (Kultuurikatel): accreditation badges can be collected at the press centre on the day of the event from 07.00
- in the case of events with high press interest the press centre will open one day beforehand, please refer to the event website for further information
- high-level and other meetings that are not held at the Creative Hub: accreditation badges can be collected at the venue on the day of the event
Registering for an event
The organisers and the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board, which is in charge of security, need to have an overview of the people present at the Tallinn Creative Hub (Kultuurikatel) during high-level events. Therefore, journalists must register separately for each event open to the press.
Once the accreditation application has been received, information about accessing the accreditation portal will be sent via email, and the portal will include a list of events that welcome journalists. For registering, tick the box next to your preferred event or events. The list of events is updated in the course of the Presidency.
The organisers recommend registering for the events no later that two weeks before the event(s).
